EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported therapy that helps people heal from trauma, anxiety, and painful life experiences. Endorsed by the WHO and APA, EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess stuck memories so they no longer trigger intense emotions, body tension, or negative self-beliefs.

In our 53-minute, 90-minute EMDR sessions or 2 hour EMDR intensives in Florida and New Mexico, we use a structured, supportive approach to move memories from the emotional part of the brain into long-term storage—where they no longer feel raw or overwhelming.

When past experiences stay unprocessed, they can lead to symptoms like constant anxiety, feeling like you always have to watch your back, or believing things like “I’m not good enough” or “I’m unsafe.”

EMDR uses gentle bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—to activate your brain’s natural healing ability and release those burdens.

Over time, clients often feel calmer, clearer, and more at peace. At Healing Resources Mental Health, we specialize in EMDR therapy to help you soften anxiety, shift old beliefs, and feel more secure in your own mind and body.
