You're Tired of Overthinking & Second Guessing Yourself

Anxiety can make it feel like your mind never stops racing; constantly overthinking, second-guessing, or preparing for the worst. Maybe you're always putting others first, panic at the thought of saying no or disappointing someone. You may also feel a deep restlessness, the tightness in your chest and knots in your stomach that no amount of staying busy or being productive can soothe. You have two modes: "I'm fine or I'm anxious and on edge."

Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

• You feel like you're always bracing for something to go wrong and overthink about future "what-ifs."

• You have a hard time shutting your mind off and difficulty sleeping at night.

• Your thoughts spin and you think about things over and over.

• You struggle with an inner critic and mean self-talk.

• You feel tense, irritable, your heart races, and have a hard time catching your breath, seemingly for no reason.

• You second guess yourself struggle to trust yourself. Did that actually happen? Was it really that bad? Am I being too sensitive?

• You people-please and feel terrified of disappointing others or someone not liking you.

• Have a hard time staying present. You're in your head trying to figure everything out and overthinking social interactions.

You have a hard time resting, engaging in hobbies because you feel the need to always be productive and on top of your to-do list.

Common Questions About Anxiety Therapy

1) How will we address my anxiety?

There are a number of ways I help women with anxiety. We explore your history and current life situation so we can find out what may be contributing between internal and external factors. I will help you connect with your feelings, body sensations, and needs with more curiosity and mindfulness, reframe thought patterns, connect with parts of you holding anxiety, learn tools for relief, and reprocessing triggers and experiences so they feel less overwhelming.

2) Do you take insurance?

I can take Blue Cross Blue Shield in New Mexico and Aetna and United in Florida. If you're paying out of pocket, you may use your HSA or FSA cards, credit, or debit card to pay for care. If you have out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement for services.

3) When do I need counseling for anxiety?

Some level of anxiety in life is common and even useful but when it gets in the way of daily life, it may be time to reflect on if therapy might be helpful for you. When anxiety is persistent and overwhelming, impacts multiple areas of your life, and you're ready for a change, therapy/counseling can be a safe space to get support from a professional.

4) What are some strategies for managing anxiety outside of therapy sessions?

I talk to my clients about the basics, such as,  focusing on sleep, finding joyful movement, and nourishing your body. Learning emotional vocabulary and practicing noticing and naming your emotions can help you develop a kinder relationship with yourself.
